How to use a waist trainer

How to use a waist trainer

, by Ann Schulster, 4 min reading time

Now that you know why they work, lets move on to how to start using them. First thing’s first, always wear a thin cotton camisole (like the one displayed in the picture below)

under your trainers. This helps avoid irritation, absorb extra sweat, and eliminate odor. I would suggest buying at least 10 since you need to change them at least twice a day (especially after the gym). When you notice too much sweat, go ahead and take off your trainer and change in to another camisole and put your trainer on as soon as you can. You can buy these camisoles for cheap! They usually go for about $2.00-3.00 a piece at Forever 21, Walmart, and Ebay.

Upon taking the trainers out of their packaging you’ll notice how firm they are. You’re probably thinking, “ How the heck am I going to get these things on me?” Putting them on for the first time will be the hardest, after that, the trainers will stretch a bit and it will be much easier to put on. Our models have pointed out that the trainers are the easiest to put on starting from the bottom and working your way to the top. It helps to fold the left side a bit (look below for image) to get the hook to stand out a bit more to make it easier. It is suggested you start on the 1st set of hooks (look at image below)

and when you no longer feel discomfort move on to the 2nd set of hooks. Although some of you may already feel comfortable starting on the 2nd set of hooks right away which is fine too. It will be more uncomfortable, but you’ll achieve quicker results. For the first 5 days you can transition between the 1st set and 2nd set until you can comfortably be in the 2nd set the whole time.

Once you have successfully put the waist trainer on, you’ll notice it should feel very tight. You should still be able to breathe and move comfortably. The first few days will be the most uncomfortable as the latex stretches. It is recommended to sleep in the trainer if you’d like to see quicker results. The waist trainer should feel comfortable when you sleep in it, if it feels uncomfortable at any given moment, then please remove it and try again once you have stretched it out a bit more with day time use.

It is important to start with an hour to two hours on the first day and gradually increase the time you have the waist trainer on for as you feel more comfortable.  Since your body is just starting to get acquainted with the waist trainer your comfort is very important. If you ever feel dizzy, lightheaded, or experience any pain, remove it immediately and consult with your physician. After wearing the trainer for extended periods of times and then taking if off, you will notice some of the marks from the waist trainers which are completely normal so don’t be alarmed. They go away in about 15-30 minutes. If the marks don't disappear after 30 minutes its a possibility you may have a reaction. If this is the case, please remove the trainer and discontinue use until the skin is back to normal.  After extended use over a period of time you will notice a little bit of discoloration on the skin. This will go away after a few days of not wearing the trainer.

After you have successfully overcome the first three days, you will then start using the thermal trainer. This trainer at first should feel much tighter than when you first put on the black main trainer (all day trainer). Try the same technique you used to put on the black all day trainer: hooking the hooks from the bottom to the top or from top to bottom. Make sure you have the camisole under the trainer. There will be exercises you will do everyday with and without the thermal trainer to further enhance the effects of the waist trainer. These exercises are detrimental on how dramatic your results turn out to be so please find time to do them everyday.

Along with wearing both trainers during the whole day and doing the exercises everyday you will also have a meal plan and a tea you should adhere to if you really want those dramatic results of an hourglass figure. If you half-ass the plan then you will achieve half-assed results. This journey isn’t easy at first but the results are so worth it so hang in there.
